This article was also written by Tyler Kingkade who writes about students who claim that schools didn’t take importance in what they had to say about being accused of sexual assault. These students apparently had witnesses and the schools did not interview their witnesses. These witnesses’ testimony could have proved these students to be innocent, but they were not heard by the schools. In one case a school investigator did not record the interview, but instead just wrote down some notes. Although this article doesn’t necessarily cover GMU students, it is still important to know how title IX is in other schools, and nationwide. This journalist covers a lot of material on Title IX and I will be looking at his articles a lot for this project. Students reply on Title IX to be treated equally with other students and this type of letdown is very upsetting to them for numerous reasons.
